Buying Cover (Hedging)

AnchorShield allows you to buy protection against stablecoin depegs. When you buy cover, you are acquiring YES Tokens.

The Economics

  • 1 YES Token mathematically guarantees a $1.00 USDC payout if the target asset depegs.
  • If no depeg occurs before Expiry, the YES Token expires worthless ($0.00).

How to Buy via the UI

  1. Navigate to the Hedge Markets tab.
  2. Select an active market (e.g. USDC Depeg).
  3. In the Buy Cover tab, enter how much payout coverage you want (e.g., $1,000).
  4. The system will look at the on-chain Limit Order Book to calculate the premium.
  5. Sign the transaction in Freighter. You will instantly receive YES Tokens in your wallet.

Note: Since you are buying from a limit order book, your transaction may partially fill if there isn't enough underwriting liquidity at your specified price.
